Akindoju Promises Innovations For Nigerian Tennis

The president of Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), Ifedayo Akindoju has served a strong hint that a change of focus is at hand for the aces game in the country.

Akindoju served the hint in an interview with sports247.ng, in which he stated that the NTF is very much focused on revamping the sport and putting new ideas into play.

He went on to declared further that the federation is on the pathway to ensure that tennis gets to experience a change of fortune in Nigeria.

Akindoju said: “We are make earnest plans to change the face of tennis in Nigeria, Our plans may not have an immediate impact, but I can assure you we are on the way.

“The result may not be instantly visible, but that the tennis federation is fully committed to the development of the game in all aspects.

“This will involve building up the players through exposure to standard facilities, as well improving on the coaches and international officiating.

“All these efforts will help us arrive at higher standards, which will help the development of the game in Nigeria.”
