Akinwunmi, Fresh, Ogunjobi, Others Endorses Osun SWAN Sports Merit Awards

The 2017 edition of the Osun SWAN Sports Merit Awards has received a number of endorsements from juggernauts in the Nigerian Football cycle notably the NFF Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi, Chairman NFF referees appointment committee and member CAF technical committee Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Fresh, CEO Nationwide League one Alhaji Ahmad Kawu, NFF Psychologist Robinson Okosun, Osun State Football Association Chairman, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi and many more.

NFF vice-president Seyi Akinwunmi said he was delighted to be associated with such an idea and supported the event by saying,

“I love the idea of celebrating sports personalities in our folds. The Osun SWAN sports Merit Awards will have nothing but a positive outcome for years to come; I wish the event every success.”

Also NFF referees appointment committee Chairman and member CAF technical committee Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh said it is always good to reward hardworking people with awards, as it will propel them to do more.

“I want to thank the organizers for finding me worthy of this award. When people work hard, they deserve to be celebrated. I am pleased, honored and humbled to accept this award and I also congratulate other recipients too.”

In his words, the CEO Nationwide League one Alhaji Ahmad Kawu hailed the organizers and tasked them to keep the spirit up.

“Its amazing and inspiring when people get noticed for their achievements, more so, recognition for hard work is non negotiable. I salute the organizers and wish them the very best”

Meanwhile, the Osun State sports writers association of Nigeria (SWAN) chairman, Adeyemi Aboderin hailed all recipients and endorsers of the upcoming award ceremony and tasked them to do more in their chosen fields.

“Receiving an award no doubt boosts a person’s worth in their field. The title ‘Award winning’ carries connotations of reputation and expertise something that’s priceless in any line of work,” he said

“It also celebrates hard work, in turn making people feel appreciated and well respected. We recognize all these and appreciate everyone that has been supporting us to make a success out of the planned award and enjoin all the award recipients to continue working with the same enthusiasm as they have been.”

On October 26th Osun SWAN will host the 2017 Edition of the Osun SWAN Sports Merit Awards to celebrate those who have rendered selfless meritorious services to the development of sports within and outside the country. The event will be held in Atlantis Civic Event Centre, Ring Road, Osogbo.
