Arsenal Fans Knock Iwobi For Woeful Miss

Written By: SD Reporter

Arsenal fans for his awful miss in the Gunners’ Europa League clash with CSKA Moscow on Thursday evening have very uncomplimentary words for the Nigerian international.

Arsene Wenger’s side have reached the semi-finals after registering a 2-2 draw in Russia, but were forced to battle back from two goals down to put their quarter-final tie beyond doubt.

Danny Welbeck’s strike with 15 minutes remaining all but secured Arsenal’s place in Friday’s semi-final draw, but Iwobi was handed a golden chance to level the score after being put through on goal by Mesut Ozil. Iwobi opted to take a first-time shot at Igor Akinfeev, but the winger’s effort ended up closer to the fifth official who was standing by the goal. Fortunately for Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey finished off his one-on-one chance just minutes later to salvage a draw for Arsenal.
