CHAN Eagles Move To Tanja, Ready For Rwanda

Homebased Nigerian national team, tagged CHAN Eagles, who woill taking part in the African Nations Championship which starts this weekend have left Rabat for Tanjan for confront its first opponent, Rwanda in its opening game.

The team tutored by Salisu Yusuf and skippered by Ikechukwu Ezenwa, the Enyimba of Aba keeper, has repeatedly said it was ready for the challenge of coming away with the CHAN trophy in Morocco. The last time the team went for the tournament it crashed out in the first round under Coach Sunday Oliseh.

Before then, Late Coach Stephen Keshi had won the bronze medal for Nigeria in its first appearance at the tourneyat South Africa 2014.

With a couple of talented players like Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, Okpotu, Rabiu Alli among others, the team is expected to give a decent performance in Morocco, but the first game against Rwanda, will prove crucial to the fortunes of the African soccer giants at the championship.

“We have a collection of the best we can bring from the Nigerian league and I can assure all that we will do well here in Morocco, all we need is the prayers of Nigerians and the rest will be history”, Salisu Yusuf was quoted as saying.
