Club Brugge New Signing Open To Representing Nigeria Ahead Holland

Newly signed on Club Brugge of Belgium forward Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld ‎will jump at the chance of representing Nigeria ahead of the Netherlands if called up by coach Gernot Rohr.

The 21 year old secured a high profile move to Club Brugge two days back after scoring 11 goals in 29 games for Dutch second division side NEC Nijmegen last season. A sharp rise from his tally of one goal from 12 games the previous season.

The former PSV trainee who was released in 2016 also bagged 17 assists from his role as a winger even though he also played behind the striker in some games.

” He was born in Lagos. So playing for Nigeria is no doubt a big reality. As a matter of fact he follows the Super Eagles very well. If called up, he will no doubt honor the call up but for now his immediate focus is on his new club “, a representative of the player told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” His case is different from Ebuehi, he was born in Nigeria and hasn’t played for the Netherlands at any level. He is 21 and the time to commit his future to an international team is now”.
