Dele Ajiboye Excited with Super Eagles 30-Man Provisional Man List Call Up

One of the greatest surprises in the provisional list released today by the Technical Crew of the Super Eagles must have been the inclusion of Dele Ajiboye in place of Dele Alampaso with the later having enjoyed more called ups during the Super Eagles qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Dele Ajiboye who spoke to SportsDay yesterday said that he was unable to contain his joy at making the provisional squad describing it as an opportunity he wasn’t expecting but vowed to give the other invited goalkeepers a run for their money during the training camp.

“I am really happy for this [being named in the Super Eagles Provisional World Cup squad] as it was an opportunity I never expected, so I am really excited.” responding about his surprised inclusion in the Super Eagles 30-Man List

The former Nigeria Junior International speaking about his chances of being amongst the three making the final list said, “With God all things are possible and being here is testament to that but on my part I’d do my absolute best to give the selectors serious headache when they have to make their final choices.”

On the chance of having more players from the NPFL getting called up to the Super Eagles, Ajiboye said, “It is about the time and I believe gradually with performances of players like Ezenwa, Lokosa and myself the coaches would understand the quality of players in the NPFL and more players would get this sort of opportunity.“

“I dedicate this call up and opportunity to Almighty God because he did this for me. No one else deserves the Glory for this opportunity I received today.” Concluded the 2017 NPFL Champions.
