The remains of Chief Mrs. Alice Omabrogho Onogagamue; mother of the Director General of the Delta State Sports Commission, Victor Onogagamue will be buried on Friday, April 13, 2018.
The Late Chief Mrs. Onogagamue was born on November 29, 1928, in Okpara Inland, a community located in the Ethiope East local government area of Delta State.
She worked as a Midwifery Sister and Nurse in Western Urhobo Division now Okpe Ethiope East and West Local Government Areas and served in various other towns including Oghara, Isiokolo, and Abraka
On retirement in 1994, she became a prominent politician in Ethiope East local government
She was a Woman Leader in the National Republican Convention (NRC) and a founding member of the Urhobo Political Forum, Delta National Congress and eventually the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 1998 with the likes of late Chief (Amb ) Ray lnijie, late Chief Patrick Bolokor, late Chief Peter Kpogban, Late Chief Efe Akpobi, HRM Mike Omeru the Ogurime Rime of Agbon Kingdom and other
She was a socialite and acted as Matron for several organizations in Urhobo land. Some of those organisations include Agbon Ladies Club, Agbon Catholic Daughters/Wives and the Pensioners Association.
The Late Chief Mrs. Onogagamue is survived by six Children among who is the DG Sports Commission in Delta State, 29 Grand Children, and 15 Great Grand ChildShe will be buried in her hometown in Okpara Inland on April 13 after Requiem Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Among other things, the Late Chief Mrs. Onogagamue will be well remembered for her acts of generosity that endeared her to many both old and young.
