4th Ogun State Hall of Fame Quarterly Boxing Championship.
Sodiq Popoola of Voltron Boxing Club at the tournament held at the indoor hall of the Alake Sports
Centre, Ijeja , Abeokuta, also defeated Sodiq Oyakojo of Three Star Boxing Club by split decisionsin the 69 kilogrammes contest.
In other bouts decided, Abolade Akintunde of Energy Boxing Club, dismissed Abiodun Atileun of
Diamond Boxing Club in the 64 kilogrames Cateory while Kasali Ayobami of Face-Two Boxing Club,
defeated Isimol Oladimeji of Three Star Boxing Club by split decisions in the 56 kilogrammes class.
Also Taiwo Ogunbowale of Ultimate Boxing Club knocked-out Razaq Taiwo of Champion Boxing club in the 52 kilogrammes contest and Kareem Adam of Desheed Boxing Club who dominated Frank
Mofeeph of Onipapa Boxing Club in the 49 kilogrammes bout.
In the female category, Iyabo Ajisafe of Three Star Boxing club out-classed Mariam Yusufu of Desheed
Boxing Club in the 51 kilogrammes contest while Mariam Oyakojo of Three Star Boxing club defeated
Sunmisola Popoola of Amuton Boxing club in the 48kilogrammes bout.
The State Sports Director, Adesola Faleti, the Ogun State Boxing Association’s Chairman, Ajani Aremu and its secretary, David Osuolale were among fans that watched the tournament packaged to discovertalented boxers and prepare them to be part of Team-Ogun for the forth-coming National Sports Festival.
