FIBA RANKING: Nigeria Climbs Eight Places

Nigeria women basketball national team D’Tigress has emerged as one of the biggest climbers in the latest Nike FIBA World Ranking Women in the wake of their FIBA Women’s AfroBasket 2017 success.

Following on from their memorable night in Bamako when they stormed past 12-time champions Senegal to land the coveted silverware, Nigeria have moved up an eye-catching eight places and into 34th place in the rankings.

Despite going unbeaten in Bamako, the likes of Senegal, Angola, Mali and Mozambique whom they battered en route their way to winning the title remained ahead of the D’Tigress.
