The assurance for you in July 2018 is that God will be with you and your family in everything you do throughout this month, because His promises are sure from generation to generation. Such was the glorious promise hand down by the Lord in the days of the prophets of yore. It’s the promise of protection, which you and I can still repose our trust in up to this day and beyond, because He is an unchanging God.
We are reassured that, all through this month and beyond, He will never leave us nor forsake us. That promise of joy and safety is further affirmed for you and I in Haggai 2 v 1-4, stating: “In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the Lord by the prophet Haggai, saying, Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying, Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now?
“Is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts.”
With the assurance of God on our side all through this seventh month of 2018, you are encouraged to believe that July will also bring with it celebrations and thanksgiving in your household. Because God inhabits the praises of His people, sorrow will not be your portion throughout this month, the shout of Hallelujah will resonate through your corridors this month and beyond, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
That is another part of the Biblical promises of the seventh month, which is also reflected in Number 29: 1 & 2, which read: “And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work. For you it is a day of blowing the trumpets. You shall offer a burnt offering as a sweet aroma to the Lord: one young bull, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year, without blemish.”
Several other passages from the Bible reflect celebrations of the seventh month, with feasting, dining, feeding and flocking together symbolised in the joy of togetherness. This shall be your portion in July 2018, as men and women will gather from far and wide, north east, west and south to share good N.E.W.S. with you and your family. This we see in 1 Kings 8:2 “All the men of Israel assembled themselves to King Solomon at the feast, in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month;” and 2 Chronicles 5:3 – “All the men of Israel assembled themselves to the king at the feast, that is in the seventh month.”
Jeremiah 41:1 also tells us about the joy of eating together in amity and joy, viz – “In the seventh month Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal family and one of the chief officers of the king, along with ten men, came to Mizpah to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam While they were eating bread together there in Mizpah.”
By reason of these passages and through God’s unhindered promises of old, with reminders of divine visitations in the days of the prophets, I declare that friends and well-wishers, even by passers and enemies, shall gather at your door to celebrate with you. Remember the Bible says when you make your ways clean with God, even your enemies will be at peace with you. So, I again decree that even those who hated you in June will love you this month.
That is the prophecy from Ezra 3:1 – “Now when the seventh month came, and the sons of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered together as one man to Jerusalem.” Same goes for Leviticus 23:24 – “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.” Trumpets evoke a joyous noise, a fulfilled occasion. That is your portion for July 2018.
However, apart from celebrations, feasting, winning and dining, another gathering of the seventh month from the days of the prophets is an occasion to come together in the assembly of the Holy Spirit. A song says unto the Lord shall the gathering of His people be, which goes to say that we must not neglect to share His word, the Good News of The Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ when we come together.
This is another call for us to check our ways and follow the righteous path. That is the exhortation we receive from Nehemiah 8:2 & 3 (ESV) So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month. And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.”
Consequently, we find four areas of meaning attached to No.7, being – great comfort from Jesus (as seen in John’s Gospel), challenges for us to achieve (Jesus told Peter to forgive seventy times seven times – Matthew 18:22), God’s warning (like to Israel in Leviticus 26:18) and judgment (the seven bowls of the Great Tribulation – Revelation 16:1).
In the final analysis, we are encouraged to expect days of joy all through July, but it will only come to manifestation if we follow the Right Path. However, it is noteworthy that number seven is considered one of the most powerful for favour and the manifestation God’s impact. It also refers to God’s Work of Creation, and He rested on the 7th Day.
By the reason of the accomplishment of God’s perfect work of Creation, I pray July will bring all round perfect joy and celebrations to you and your family in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
