Two of the top aspirants to the Nigeria Football Federation, scheduled to be held this Thursday in Kastina, have said all they want is a free, fair and transparent election, provided there are no judicial encunberances.
The duo, Alhaji Aminu Maigari and Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, both former chiefs at the football house as President Secretary General say there must be level playing field for all in the coming election, provided there are no legal issues.
Maigari laughed off the issue of his certificate, declaring that that the Electoral Committee has cleared him for the elections, two weeks ago. “I am shocked that the media is carrying negative stories about me when they know the personality they are dealing with. It’s a sad commentary and we must control it,” he declared.
On his part, former IICC Shooting Winners Captain, multiple holder of several honours including being the Secretary Geral of the NFF, said all he is asking for is for a level playing field and his wish is that the best candidate emerges.
