Agege area of Lagos State virtually came to a standstill, as all eyes were focused on the seventh edition of the biennial Mind Builders Schools Inter-House Sports Day.
The competition, which featured contests for pupils in nursery and primary classes of the school as well as students in the secondary cadre, took centre stage at Agege Stadium.
At the end of all events, Peridot (Green) House, with 24 gold, 13 silver and six bronze medals, dethroned Lapis (Blue) House to become the new champion of the competition.
Diamond (Grey) House placed second with nine gold, 15 silver and 12 bronze; with Lapis, who garnered nine gold, seven silver and 13 bronze, third and the fourth position went to Citrine (Yellow) House with six gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze medals.
Lapis came first in march past, Peridot second, Diamond third and Citrine fourth, while the ceremonial dance price went to Peridot with 78 points, Citrine came second with 77 points, Diamond’s 68 points placed it in third position and Lapis came fourth with 62 points.
