Due to lack of sufficient funds and some other challenges, the National Adssociation of Edo State Students (NAESS) has said it is left with no option than to change the initial plans for NAESS national sport festival in honour of the two national icons and reschedule the previous date to 3rd of December for a decisive match.
The association is to take to the pitch against NADESU NATIONAL, as reported by NAESS national director of sports Comrade Adeoye Raphael on the ground that the duo of Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuibu are from Delta and Edo states respectively.
The planning committee chairman Comrade Oloke Emmanuel in his words intimated that there will be other games to grace the occasion by various institutions across the country that will be present.
The NAESS national Secretary General, Comrade Abdul-qadir Abdullahi reported from the National Secretariat of the Edo nationwide cultural festival on 2nd of December to showcase Edo cultural heritage.
The director of sports Comrade Adeoye Raphael in his press statement said that over 50 higher institutions indicated interest but due to lack of funds and complex nature of the event hosting all these high institutions the two apex umbrella covering the students body have decided to play against each other for piloting the great name of Nigeria.
