Written By: SD Reporter

So soon after Birmingham City confirmed interest in signing Super Eagles midfielder, Eddy Ogenyi Onazi, the former English Premier League side have now sealed a deal with Nigerian-born teenager, Nicholas Okoro.

Information on offer in Queensland reveals that the England-born Nigerian attacking midfielder has penned a fresh two-year contract with the English Championship outfit, who want to buy Onazi from Trabzonspor of Turkey.

The Blues’ manager, Harry Redknapp on Thursday confirmed interest in Onazi, but the big news out of Birmingham is their shock deal with 16-year-old Okoro, whose father played for Rangers International of Enugu in years past

The highly-rated youngster is among Birmingham’s new scholars, and will play for their under-18 team this season, starting with Friday’s game against Millwall in the U18 Professional Development League.
