Omeruo’s Agents Herald Star’s Spotlight In La Liga

The agency that brokered the loan deal for Kenneth Omeruo of Leganes of Spain, Temple Management Company (TMC) has stated with enthusiasm that the Super Eagles defender will not be watched regularly on television by his fans and lovers of La Liga.

In contrast with Omeruo’s inability to make the main team at Chelsea, where he has been loaned out since signing a contract in 2012, and three unsung seasons in Turkey, TMC’s head of sports, KoyeSowemimo enthused that the stopper will now be in the spotlight.

Omeruo, who had also been touted for deals at three other Spanish clubs – Real Betis, Real Valladolid and Levante – as well as Goztepe, Besiktas and Bursaspor of Turkey, has already started training for the season kick off on Monday away to Atletico Bilbao.

The former Sunshine Stars of Akure and Standard Liege of Belgium stopper, who has also played on loan from Chelsea at ADO Den Haag of Holland, Middlesbrough of England as well as Konyaspor and Kasimpasa of Turkey, is expected to provide multiple options for Mauricio Pellegrino’s side.

Sowemimo also reasoned that Omeruo will bring to the Madrid-based club his fine form from national team duties at the World Cup in Russia, where he was one of performers of great impact with the Super Eagles.

He added: “We are delighted to see Kenneth join C.D. Leganes in La Liga. This move brings him closer to his supporters who will now be able to watch him regularly on TV.

“This move comes off the back of a successful World Cup outing where he demonstrated why he is Nigeria’s best central defender.”
