Kano Pillars attacking midfielder, Amos Gyang believes the team have regained their fearsome form and instinct for victory in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Pyramid City side piped Wikki Tourists of Bauchi 1-0 in Wednesday’s top-flight rescheduled matchday 8 clash in Kano, after which Gyang said his side will soon ease themselves into the top spot of the 20-team top-flight log.
“Yes, we are getting good result match after match which is encouraging to our confidence and morale. Of course, we are gradually improving with each match and I see us doing even better in the matches ahead.
“We are going to get more heart-warming results as the understanding level among us is almost 100%. The successes we have recorded in the recent matches are huge boost to claim more high flying results.
“Wikki Tourists gave us a scare but the unity and resolve to excel helped us to subdue the Bauchi-based side. We will take our new found strength and winning aura to league leaders, Plateau United at the weekend in Jos.
“The encounter will be a big game but we are equal to the task and should be able to come back with a decent result.
“Our main target is the summit as we are determined to once again challenge for the title at the end of the league season,” the former Giwa FC marksman told supersport.com.
