Plateau United’s Oneness Is Paying Off – Ayagwa

Plateau United midfielder, Raphael Ayagwa says the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional football League (NPFL) Champions are on a blistering form because of the oneness in the team.

The Lalong boys annihilated Sunshine stars of Akure 5-0 at the New Jos Stadium in the Matchday seven clash on Sunday with brace from Tosin Omoyele, who scored the opener in the second minute, as Ngbede, Umeh, Mafeng complete the rout.

Speaking to Sportlens360.com, Raphael Ayagwa said the plan was just to avenge the midweek loss against Kano Pillars.

“It was a good game against Sunshine Stars. Before the game, we all had an agreement to cancel the goals that we conceded against Kano pillars on Wednesday and we saw it through. The secret to this team’s form is the oneness among the players and the crew”.

Plateau United will next face Eding Sports of Cameroon in their first CAF Champions League appearance this weekend. Ayagwa said the team is well prepared.

“We are prepared, as you can see from the last result that our mind is set for the continent and that’s also a message to our opponent that we are prepared”. He concluded.
