Former Super Eagles goalkeeper and Atlanta ‘96 Olympics gold medalist, Joseph Dosu has spoken of the need for adequate preparations and training of the current under-23 national team to accord them the possibility of winning gold at this year’s Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil..
Dosu stated as much in an exclusive interview with SportsDay that since Nigerian fans are already use to ‘Dream Team’ thee may be some problem for them to adjust to any new name. .
The former Julius Berger FC of Lagos and AS Reggiana of Italy safe hands believes the squad can go on to repeat the Atlanta ’96 fame if preparations for Rio 2016 are taken seriously.
“Because Olympics is around the corner we should start camping and playing friendly games to see if we can build a strong team like the Atlanta’96 team.
“The Rio 2016 games kicks off in August, I hope that should be the main focus for me. I think we should try and make Nigeria proud again,” he concluded.
