Nigeria International goalkeeper Francis Odinaka Uzoho who is currently on the radar of newly promoted La Liga side SD Huesca won’t be a free player in July as earlier reported by Owngoalnigeria.com.
Uzoho renewed his contract at the club in October till the summer of 2021 with the club inserting a buy out clause of €10m for the 19 year old who was signed for free by the club.
Heavily favoured to be between the sticks for Nigeria at the World Cup, the best the newly promoted SD Huesca can do is to push to have him on loan as an outright deal won’t be possible base on the length of his contract plus the buy out clause.
“Uzoho renewed his deal at the club in October. His current deal will run till the summer of 2021. No doubt there has been contacts from some clubs but he has a long term contract with a buy out clause of €10m,” his representative told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Deportivo La Coruna were relegated from the Spanish LaLiga last season and Uzoho who was first choice for the B team in the third division for the best part of last season is widely tipped to play a role in their quest to bounce back to the LaLiga.
