Vincent Hoping For Prosperous NWPL Second Stanza

Confluence Queens Goalkeeper Mercy Vincent has called on her side to remain focused as they attempt to secure Super Four football in the second part of the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) season.

The Lokoja outfit currently sits in second position in Group B after seven matches and is on the road to Adamawa Queens in their next league game on Wednesday 21st June.

“We have to pick up the pace. Everyone at the club is demanding of that. But we feel strong, we feel like we can do well,” she told Nwfl.com.ng.

“We know there are a lot of games to go, but we can only think about the next one. We have to go game-by-game if we want to achieve our goals.

“It can, and I think it will be, a good second stanza for us. The supporters have been spectacular. Their enthusiasm is greatly appreciated.”
