13 Africa Games: Falconets eye gold as Women soccer event ends tonight

The Nations U-23 women side the Falconets are set for tonight’s battle against hosts Ghana in the final of the Africa Games at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The Falconets who are defending champions have enjoyed a jolly ride since the kickoff of the tournament taking opponents to the cleaners with relish.

 Tonight’s final promises to be full of fireworks after Ghana who edged out Senegal to hit the final vowed to fight to the finish in their quest for gold.

Coach Chris Danjuma who is full of confidence going into tonight’s match recognises that all eyes will be on the defending champions but insist his girls will give the match the seriousness it deserves. The falconets are yet to concede a goal in the tournament and boast of eight goals scored and hopefully still counting.

While the final  between Nigeria and Ghana is billed for 9pm tonight the third place match between Senegal and Uganda is scheduled for  6pm at the same venue.
