Black Princesses of Ghana head coach, Yussif Basigi has hailed his team’s remarkable comeback win against Nigeria.

The hosts defeated the Falconets 2-1 in the final of the women’s football event at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday night.

Loveth Edeh gave Nigeria the lead in the 28th minute profiting from a blunder by goalkeeper, Afi Amenyeku.

The Black Princesses, however, fought back with goals from Tracey Twum and Mukarama Abdulai

“I’m so proud of this team. We never stopped believing even when we went behind,” Basigi was quoted by CAFonline.

“To win a final like this in front of our home fans is an incredible feeling. These girls are champions in every sense.”
