Chukwumerije Cherishes Build-up To Taekwondo Open

Technical director of Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF), Chika Chukwumerije has stated delight with the ongoing build-up among all stakeholders to the upcoming international championship in Abuja.

While noting that the competition had to be shifted to allow Nigerian participants register, Chukwumerije said the Taekwondo Federation is preparing for the open in February next year.

Chukwumerije declared: “We are really preparing very well for this competition, because it is an event given to the country for the first time since its existence.

“The decision of shifting the taekwondo open from this year to next year by the federation is to accord us enough time to get it right.

“That is why we, as a federation, are doing all we can to make the best of it and to ensure that the competition becomes a big success.”
