Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo has declared gratitude to God for the arrival of his baby girl, just a year after marriage.
The dark-skinned stopper, who is on loan from Chelsea at the Spanish side, said he is happy that his first baby arrived safely, as his wife put to bed in London on Sunday.
Omeruo, who took time off from the Super Eagles’ friendly against Uganda in order to be with his wife before the birth, took to social media to reveal his delight and thanked God for giving him such a great day.
The Nigeria 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup revelation went on to describe the baby as a wonderful blessing for his family and exuded hope for better days ahead of him and his wife.
The Eagles’ stopper, who got married in 2017 before completing the wedding rites earlier this year in Turkey, also thanked God for the good health of both mother and child.
Omeruo stated: “It’s a girl. I’m grateful for this wonderful blessing upon my family and I want to thank God Almighty for making me witness such a great day.”
