Nigeria’s female national team, Super Falcons’ coach, Thomas Dennerby has spoken against critical comments trailing the quality of his team at the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations, and says the players are not old.
In spite of critical comments by pundits and fans, who argued that old age was the biggest bane that saw the Falcons struggle to win the title at Ghana 2018, Dennerby told sports247.ng that reverse is the case.
The Swedish tactician went on to plead that people should stop referring to his team as old and debunked suggestions that many of the lasses he is relying on for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup are spent forces.
Dennerby stressed: “Anyone saying my players are overaged and tired should stop making such comments. Those spreading such stories need to do their home work better. “
