El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri coach, Mohammed Babaganaru is basking in the eurphoria of his side’s opening day away win againsat Akwa United of Uyo in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Ganaru reckoned that, despite their inability to get new stars in the transfer market, the result has given his players adequate motivation to make the best of the season and send a strong message to other teams.
The former Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United gaffer was happy that his tactics and copunter attacking approach to the match worked quite well against The Promise Keepers.
Ganaru further acknowledged that his players followed his instructions to the letter, such that it was a substitute who scored the winning goal in the enco0uter at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
It was a packed gathering of home fans, who stormed the arena after it was declared free entry by the government of Akwa Ibom State, but they all left disappointed, following the lone goal by Ba’akaka Azikoro.
