Bursaspor of Turkey defender, Shehu Abdullahi has urged their fans to keep faith with the team and continue to support the players, as they bid to bounce back and churn out better results in the Turkish Super Lig.
Abdullahi, who is back in action after almost five months out with injury, admitted it was painful playing a goalless draw at home with Konyaspor on Monday, but called for patience.
The former Sokoto United, Kano Pillars and Anorthorsis Famagusta of Cyprus defensive-midfielder-turned-full-back, who was on Bursaspor’s bench for 90 minutes of the encounter at Timsah Arena, added that the team will work hard fora better result next time out.
That will be on Sunday, away to third placed Besiktas, and Shehu, whose side are 11th on the log with 25 points, believes Bursaspor can get something out of their visit to Istanbul.
Shehu stated in a social media post: “We’ll bounce back & survive the season hurdles. The fans should keep faith! We are @BursasporSk!”
