Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi has sent out a very passionate appeal for understanding from The Gunners’ fans, as he says he is still growing and learning new things in the round leather game.
Speaking against the backdrop of heated words from Arsenal fans worldwide, following his blunder that allowed Manchester City hit their first goal against his side last weekend, Iwobi is full of remorse and begging for patience from The Gunners’ supporters.
The Super Eagles star, who at a point was Arsenal’s under-21 team captain, spoke in highly emotional words, as he pleaded for more time on his side, for him to mature more in the team.
He also admitted that he must add more effort and determination to his game, with an avoidance of excesses that could draw the fans’ wrath our against him in future.
Iwobi retorted: “I would say each day I’m still growing and still learning, but negatives.
“Obviously they’re always going to criticise me for my goals and assists, which I need.
“(I have) to add to my game if I want to be compared with the people I’m playing with.”
