Rangers International of Enugu have reeled out details of their travel schedule for Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup fixture away to Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia, with The Flying Antelopes set to fly out on Friday.
Although the Coal City side decided to keep a date with Wikki Tourist in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) on Wednesday, and will not leave for Lagos until Friday, Rangers’ media officer, Norbert Okolie insists they are fully focused on the task at hand.
Okolie went on to rule out any form of distraction from Wednesday’s game with Wikki at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, as he argued it was meant as a build-up game to keep the players on their toes before they make the trip to North Africa.
He also ruled out any manner of fatigue for the players, considering that they will travel from Enugu to Lagos and fly to Tunisia same day, but says they would have ample time to rest and recover after landing in Tunis.
Okolie enthused: “We are going to leave for Tunisia on Friday. By the Grce of God, everything is set for the departure.”
