Girondins-Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu has received a wake up charge from his coach in the French Ligue 1 club, Eric Bedouet, who says the Super Eagles rookie must regain the power, speed, dribbling and acceleration he had on his arrival from KAA Gent of Belgium.
While hinting that having to play varying tactics while on national team duty with Nigeria may have accounted for Kalu’s slump in form, Bedouet stressed that the lad just has to find what he is missing for his own good.
The Bordeaux coach, though, also disclosed that he has discussed the issue with Kalu already and the gaffer is of a view that the player has enough talent to help him adapt to changes in game formation and pattern between the national team and his club.
Bedouet stated: ”Samuel Kalu will bring some power. He must regain the qualities he had when he arrived: power, speed, dribbling, acceleration.
“He must find it, because it was good; because he is powerful. But, in the national team he plays right back in a 3-5-2 and it’s funny.
“In fact we discussed, because the game changes between clubs and the national team.”
