Stoke City of England midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has been cast further in doubt for an appearance with the Super Eagles’ in forthcoming matches against Seychelles and Egypt, as he has been ruled out action this weekend in the English Championship.
While many Nigerian soccer fans would love to see Etebo line out for the Eagles at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on March 22 and 26, those great expectations have been put on a tiny string, following reports that the former Warri Wolves of Delta State, CD Feirense of Portugal and Las Palmas of Spain battler will not face Queens Park Rangers this weekend.
Etebo is sure to miss the week 36 in the EFL Championship on Saturday, following the injury he copped after scoring and twinkling bright in his team’s last match against Nottingham Forest over the past weekend.
After Etebo was forced out in the 66th minute, checks revealed that he had suffered a grade one muscle injury and The Potters’ medical crew said he should rest for a week.
Consequently, the Russia 2018 World Cup haymaker did not participate in three straight training sessions with his Stoke pals, as he continued his recovery in the gym.
