Former Nigerian universities’ national team goalkeeper, Barrister Churchill Oliseh was back in the public view in Ekiti State, as he turned up to deliver a paper at a talk-shop organised by the football association.
The older brother of former Super Eagles captain and head coach, Sunday Ogorchukwu Oliseh, was a special guest at the event that former part of activities by Ekiti State Football Association to launch their activities for the 2019 season.
The association’s acting chairman, Mr. Ariyo A.Y, said they were happy to have the lawyer-turned-players’ representative on the day, during which EKSFA also presented Ekiti State Sports Council with new nets for Oluyemi Kayode Stadium.
The FA also donated corner flags and cash to fix some mechanical equipment, while the following day saw the unveiling of trophies, new logo for EKSFA and logos for all products they have developed.
Also on their calendar are the Federation Cup beginning March and also slated for the same month is the coaches workshop; while Ekiti Football League starts in April.
EKSFA election is billed for May- June as well as the Ekiti State Youth league which is also billed to begin in June.
Tertiary Institutions league, the private schools league and corporate organisations league are billed for September and October, respectively.
The Governor’s Cup holds in November, while the Ekiti FA annual merit awards will round off the year’s activities in December.
