Nigeria’s League Club Owners Association added a charge for better effort in their congratulatory message to Rivers United of Port Harcourt general manager, Chief Okey Kpalukwu, following his conferment with a doctorate award by Rivers State University.
While describing the honorary PhD award in Political & Administrative Science as well deserved and excellently meritorious, Club Owners chairman, Isaac Danladi and secretary, Alloy Chukwuemeka said it adds to Kpalukwu’s personality and exemplary status in the soccer body.
Danladi and Chukwuemeka noted that Kpalukwu’s attainment of a higher educational qualification has further placed bigger task on his shoulders, as an ambassador of the club owners in Nigeria’s academic sector.
While also noting that it has added more responsibilities to him, as a known personality in the football industry, the club owners expressed confidence in Kpalukwu’s ability to make the best of his duties.
They urged him to use his past and present academic height in bringing to bear on Nigerian football more innovations and solutions to advance the course of clubs’ administration in the country.
Danladi and Chukwuemeka stated in their jointly-signed message: “As a responsible and responsive association, we rejoice with you on this high academic achievement.
“(We) assure you that we will continue to recognize your personality … as a worthy ambassador, in the true spirit of sportsmanship.”
