Colombian striker, Radamel Falcao has been tipped with a summer transfer move from AS Monaco of France to Arsenal of England.
Despite having flopped during his first spell in England, with Manchester United and Chelsea, Falcao has scored 14 goals in 30 Ligue 1 appearances this season and Arsenal’s boss’ Unai Emery wants him for next season.
Emery is boosted by reports that the Colombia international is believed to have informed Monaco chiefs that he does not intend to stay on for another campaign following a dreadful 12 months for the French side.
Inter Milan are widely considered to be at the front of the queue for Falcao, but his £21.5m valuation may put off the Serie A club.
A return to English football is now a possibility for the 33-year-old, who previously flopped during loan spells with United and Chelsea.
Arsenal are said to be willing to offer Falcao a bigger salary than the likes of Real Betis and Sevilla – two other sides to have showed a rumoured interest – though the striker would prefer to link up with former club Atletico Madrid.
