Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of China striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has hinted that he is thinking about organizing a meeting of soccer fans and star footballers in Nigeria, following his recent appearance at one in The Oriental Nation.
Ighalo was a special guest at the official opening ceremony of a new soccer fans’ store in China, and used the moment to hobnob with some lovers of the game.
Although the former Lyn Oslo of Norway, Granada of Spain, Udinese of Italy, Watford of England and Changchun Yatai of China star is currently out with injury, Ighalo is not allowing the situation get him down.
Instead of mopping about, he used the opportunity to turn up at the fans’ shop opening ceremony and catch up on some of the round leather game’s lovers, who now idolize him in China.
It was also the apt opportunity to get new ideas about the possibility of players frolicking positively with followers of the game, and Ighalo is now thinking of taking the same back to Nigeria, at an opportune time along the line.
He took to social media to reflect on his day out with Shanghai soccer fans at the opening of the new shop, and reckoned that something of such could be replicated in Nigeria.
The Super Eagles striker, who netted five goals in same number of games before bowing out with injury, posted: “Meeting And Greeting With The Fans At The Opening Of A New Fan Store In Shanghai. Should We Do A Meet And Greet In Nigeria Too?”
