This season’s run of matches in the second-tier division, Nigeria National League (NNL) has been described as one of the most exciting ever, with a chain of attractions and more talking points still lying ahead.
This is the verdict of NNL media officer, Amar Ignis, who disclosed that the season has already produced some thrilling fixtures, with equally top-notch talents on display and exciting results to boot.
Ignis pointed out further that, while the top-cadre Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) is about to hit a climax, there is still a lot more to play for in the lower echelon.
He added that it is noteworthy that one of Nigeria’s traditional teams, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan look good to gain promotion back to the top-flight, while some other top teams are facing relegation.
The erudite soccer analysts, commentator, writer, presenter, master of ceremonies and actor per excellence went on to urge soccer fans across the country to put their interest in the NNL.
Making his points known in a chat with megasportsarena.com at the start of this week, Ignis (aka Torch Bearer) the NNL has turned out to be more exciting than ever in the unfolding season.
Ignis stated: “NNL is the league to concentrate. Every big team avoiding the drop, while there are two matches to end NPFL.
“The big teams are coming down (from the top division), some older and traditional teams like 3SC, are ready to move up.”
