Ogu: I Will Love Hapoel Be’er Sheva For Life

Outgoing Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfiedler, John Ugochukwu Ogu (Suker) has promised that he will remain appreciative and attached to the club forever, because of the stability they gave his career.

Although he admits he is on the way of the club he joined in 2014, Ogu saiod he cannot forget the lovely people he met in Be’er Sheva and how everyone at the club helped him make the best of playing football.

The 31-year-old towering left-footer, who played ghis last match for the club over the past weekend, stressed that he enjoyed the five years that he spent with the team at Turner Stadium.

In his last game for the club, Ogu was on for the entire duration for the former Israeli Premier League champions, but they suffered a 4-0 defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Sadly, Ogu also scored an own goal in the 23rd minute of the game, but he is happy that the fans and officials took his performance in good fate, all of which he says adds to the affection he retains for the supporters, players and management.

During his time wioth Be’er Sheva, Ogu made over 203 appearances and scored 17 goals, while winning three league titles, two Israeli Super Cup achivements and once in the Toto Cup.

The former Académica and Uniao de Leiria of Portugal star took to social media to reveal his emotions about leaving the club, and posted: “Thank You, I love you all. Hapoel Be’er Sheva for life.”
