Victor Moses Misses Inter Milan Summer Switch

Former Super Eagles’ winger, Victor Moses has missed out on a possible move to join ex-Chelsea of England manager, Antonio Conte at Inter Milan of Italy, and will now stay put at Fernebeahce of Turkey.

Moses had been tipped to cut short his 18-month loan from Chelsea to Fernebahce, in order to rejoin forces with Conte, who gave him a massive leap at Stamford Bridge two seasons ago, but that deal has not materialised, due to his inability to convince the hierarchy at San Siro.

While Moses appeared to be holding unto the emotional angle of his relationship with Conte, Inter’s top brass played the technical card, and opted instead to go for a rival player to fill into the available position the ex-Eagles star could have landed.

A report by reports indicates that Moses has since resumed pre-season training at Fenerbahce and was among the player subjected to routine health checks at Liv Hospital in Ulus.

The report adds: “Moses underwent ECHO, exercise, respiration and function tests and was examined in all branches including cardiology, eye, ear-nose-throat and general surgery.

“The former Crystal Palace man was heavily linked with a transfer to Inter Milan but it appears the deal is off with Inter Milan announcing the capture of Valentino Lazaro from Hertha Berlin on July 1.

“Lazaro has the same technical characteristics as Moses as he can play as a right winger and the right wing-back role favoured by Nerazzurri new manager Antonio Conte.

“Moses joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan in January 2019 and the agreement between Chelsea and the Turkish club will keep him in Istanbul until the end of the 2019-2020 season.”
