Ex-international female quarter-miler, Falilat Ogunkoya and veteran boxer, Bash Ali are both on the roll calls of personalities set to smile home with plaques of honour on August 3 at an awards ceremony of a private school in Ajegunle, Lagos.
The event, which will be staged at Helifirst High School, near the famous Naval Barracks in the Boundary area of the popular Lagos suburb, will see Ogunkoya and Ali, as well other esteemed persons receive awards of excellence for their contributions to sports and other areas of life.
Spokesman of the awards organizing committee, Pastor Chinedu stated further that the ceremony is part of the end of session programme at the school, which prides itself as a major contributor to Nigeria’s highly ambitious and fast developing education sector.
He added: “The Helifirst High School Award for Excellence 2019 will go to Chief (Mrs) Falilat Ogunkoya (MFR) and Mr Bash Ali (OON) on the 3rd of August. The venue is 28 Tunkarimu Street, off Boundary Road, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos. The time is 11am.”
