Henan Huishang of China defender, Onome Ebi has declared that she feels very honoured to score another goal for the club, which she described as a very wonderful team that is making her proud, despite the fact that they lost the game.
After netting her second goal for the Chinese Women Super League club at the weekend, the Super Falcons’ former captain said it was an honour and privilege for her being on the scorers’ cards once again, but she admitted it was sad seeing her side lose the match.
While affirming that she will love to add more goals to her name, the fair-skinned stopper confessed that the day was spoilt for her because her team lost 2-1 at home to Wuhan Jiangda in front of their fans.
It was another disappointing result for team, having lost four and drawn only one of their last five matches, but Ebi took to social media to reveal she was happy to score her team’s only goal of Sunday’s game, adding that she was honoured to get her second bull’s eye of the season.
Ebi posted: “2nd goal of the season, I’m honored. my wonderful team #henanhuishangfootballclub. @ Zhengzhou Defender Aye.”
