Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper, Olufemi Kayode has revealed that he is excited by the level of preparations the club are putting in for the CAF Champions League, ahead of which he says The Peoples Elephants are preparing very well and will be ready to make Nigerians proud.
Speaking ahead of their first match in the qualifiers this weekend, Kayode enthused that the club will get it right against Rahimo of Burkina Faso, as the former Akwa Unite of Uyo and Lobi Stars of Makurdi shot-stopper pointed out that the team had already started taking shape before he joined them at the end of the past season.
He added during Mega Sports on Star 101.5 FM, Lagos that his biggest ambition now is to help Enyimba win their third CAF Champions League title, to add to the achievements of 2003 and 2004, which the fast-rising keeper, who moved to Aba from Lobi Stars on a two-year deal believes they will achieve, but admits they have to first beat Rahimo.
Kasyode stressed: “I am happy with the conditions at Enyimba. It shows that we are ready for the CAF Champions League.
“In fact, the club had already started taking shape before I came; which is to say they know what they want and how to get it.
“I am happy that I have joined a club like this. My targets are to win both the Nigeria league and the CAF Champions League with Enyimba.”
