Enyimba of Aba youthful striker, Abdulrahman Bashir has been declared fit to star for The Peoples’ Elephant in this weekend’s crucial second leg fixture of their CAF Champions League first round qualification clash with Rahimo FC of Burkina Faso.
Officials of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions disclosed that Bashir has fully recovered from a knee injury that ruled him out of the first leg preliminary round tie away to Rahimo and he is available for selection for Sunday’s second encounter in Aba.
Bashir had to be ruled out for the first leg two weekends ago, after he sustained a knee injury and only returned to training few days to the first leg tie against Rahimo of Burkina Faso.
The former Kwara United of Ilorin thrill-maker was subsequently dropped from the list of 20 players that went for the encounter in Ouagadougou, which Enyimba lost 1-0.
However, Bashir was back in action on Sunday, as Enyimba intensified their preparations for the must-win reverse fixture against Rahimo with a 1-0 victory over Delta Force of Asaba in a friendly tie played in Aba.
