Nigeria’s wrestling team captain to this year’s Africa Games in Morocco, Amas Daniel has delcared that he and his colleagues are already putting in 100% effort in their build-up to the competition and believes they will be able to win lots of gold medals by maintaining the momentum.
Daniel added that he is happy with the level of his own personal fitness, which he says is ia good sign that he will be able to make Nigerians proud in Morocco, and pointed out that same applies to all members of the grapplers’ team that traveled out of Lagos on Monday.
He declared during Mega Sports on Star 101.5 FM, Lagos that all the Nigerian wrestlers know what is at stake in Morocco, where he says they will continue putting in 100% effort and concentration, in order to return homwe with medals dangling down their knecks.
The exubberrant grappler, who at Gold Coast 2018 in Australia won his second straight bronze medal at a Commonwealth Games, said he hopes that their efforts will not fall short, as he is looking forward to everyone in the team to Maroc 2019 winning nothing short of gold medals.
Daniel stressed: “We are already giving 100% in our preparation, and we will continue doing the same when we get to Morocco.
“We have been giving 100% in training, and we know what we have to do in Morocco. We just have to keep the percentage going and we will not fall short.
“I believe our 100% will not be good enough only for silver, it will not be good enough for bronze, but it will be good to bring us gold medals.”
