One of the two goal heroes in Enyimba of Aba’s 5-0 trouncing of Rahimo FC of Burkina Faso on Sunday in the CAF Champions League second leg first round qualifier, Reuben Bala has disclosed that all players in The Peoples’ Elephant are already looking forward to their next game in the elite continental club’s contest.
Bala admitted he was happy and excited to grab two of the goals, but added that the biggest thrill was that the team as a whole got a massive haul to overturn their first leg 1-0 loss.
Much to Bala’s delight, Enyimba defied the daunting odds of playing in an empty stadium, as they were ordered by CAF to hold the fixture behind closed doors in Aba, but they romped strong on all cylinders.

While the win was put down to hard work and determination in the words of Stanley Dimgba, who also scored a brace, before substitute Stanley Okorom put the icing on the cake, Bala added that Enyimba got the win because they played as a team with once focus on moving ahead.
Bala declared: “I am happy, I am excited. I am really happy seeing us score so many goals in this match and that I got two of those goals.
“It was a big victory for us, and we are all excited about it. We are now looking forward to our net match, and we want to do better.”
