Efe Ambrose Comparison To Kent Amuses Celtic Fans

Celtic fans have been left amused by a social media comparison between former Hoops player Efe Ambrose and new Rangers signing Ryan Kent.

Rangers signed Kent on a permanent basis for £7m before the transfer window slammed shut and the fee has raised plenty of eyebrows.

The Hoops came out on top against their arch-rivals at the Ibrox on Sunday, winning 2-0 in a dominating performance.

The comparison of goals was made, with the statistics showing that Ambrose has scored 11 goals in 113 games, whilst Kent has only managed 10 in 104 games.

It’s fair to say, Celtic fans found the funny side of the comparison…

@MetalHeadCelt said: ‘To be fair efes worth 10mil easy’

@Gemmell27 said: ‘Superb’

@Stevenmck27 said: ‘Damn, statistics’

Several more fans simply replied with laughing emojis.

However, the Rangers fans weren’t amused…

@KaizerKing8 said: ‘How can a signing upset so many people ?’

@GavinSc48901446 said: ‘So you’re saying Kent still has 9 games to score 2 goals to prove he’s better than what’s his face? Quality content, cheers.’

Kent has a lot to justify after his move to Rangers. This statistic has been brought up on social media purely to annoy the Rangers fans, and clearly, it has worked.

Centre-back Ambrose joined Celtic in 2012 and scored his first goal for the club against St Mirren.

He made plenty of memories during his time with the Hoops and although he fell heavily out-of-favour due to frequent poor performances, he’ll be pleased to know that Celtic fans are seeing him in a positive manner compared to Kent.
