Ocheho Hails Former HFN President Appointment As CAHB’s Head of the Election Working Group

The Caretaker Committee of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) Mr. Samuel Ocheho has praised the appointment of Dr. Lanre Glover as Head of the Election Working Group of the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAHB).
Dr. Glover, a former President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, who first got elected in the executive committee of Africa’s handball governing body in 2000 and has served in different capacity including being its first vice president, was selected to head CAHB’s election working group ahead of the election Congress in November.

Mr. Ocheho, in his congratulatory message, commended CAHB for picking Dr. Glover to head such important committee which involves high level of integrity and for him, Dr. Glover comes with the right credibility and technical acumen to do the job.
“I wasn’t surprised that Dr. Glover was selected to head the election working group of CAHB as he comes with the requisite wealth of experience for the assignment”. Ocheho said

“I must commend CAHB for selecting him for the important task which involves a lot of integrity and I know Dr. Glover possess the required credibility to do his assignment as he has always done in  CAHB”. Ocheho concluded.
Dr. Glover, an honorary executive member of CAHB, is tasked with ensuring that the Working Group review all nominations submitted by candidates for various positions and to establish the admissibility of such candidates and the validation of documents submitted by each candidate in accordance with the African Handball Confederation Statute.

The group is to submit its report to the Executive Committee for onward transmission to all National Federations in preparation for the Election Congress scheduled to take place in Turkey on November 5, 2021.
Other members of the group are Mrs. Ruth Saunders of South Africa and Tlili Sameh of Tunisia.
