Qatar 2022: 042 FLA Vice President Azuka Asomugha Tip Eagles for Victory against Cape Verde

The Vice Chairman Board of Trustee (BOT) 042 Football Legends Association world Wide Azuka Asomugha has said that Super Eagles winning against Cape verde in their second match of the ongoing Qatar world cup is the only option.
Eagles defeated Liberia 2-0 in their first match of the qualifying played at Teslim Balogun Stadium over the weekend.

In a exclusive interview with www.sportsDayonline.com, the US Base Ex- International maintained that team need a good pre match talk Reminding them the only option acceptable in Nigeria  is winning.

According to him,”Winning Winning is the only language Nigerians understand and accept when it comes to football and Super eagles. every 50 50 ball is ours. Every 60. 40 ball is ours. 70 30 ball should be anybodys ball. With such a mentality the only option is Winning.

Speaking on the exclusion of the EPL players from the match against Cape verde, Consultant with UK Sportlight also said,” The absent of EPL  players is definitely a minus but I think we have enough players who can step and be counted.

“Iheanacho is a  great player but he is not indispensable. We have players like Victor who can equally do a great job. Nigeria has always been blessed with quality strikers and we as a nation has never depended on a single player. So I  believe we can cope on his absence
“Infact this is an opportunity for players who hasn’t been making the first team to take their chance. I honestly expect them to win but at the worst a draw but losing is unacceptable,” he added.
