FlyingofficersCup21:Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, Nasarawa Amazon Leads Team to Abuja

Nigeria Representative in the CAF Women Champions League Rivers Angels is ready to lead their other female counterpart in the forth coming Flying Officer Cup tournament billed to kick of October 10- 24 to Abuja.

Apart from Rivers Angels, other clubs within west Africa continents have shown interest in taking part in the elite competition while few teams in the lower division will as well participate.

www.sportsdayonline.com gathered that Rivers Angels will use the tournament as a part of training season in preparation for the CAF Champions League billed for Egypt early November this year.

A member of the technical crew revealed that Rivers State government is doing everything possible to make the team arrives Abuja on time as well focused on the challenges ahead.

“The state government is doing everything possible to make sure we play in the flying officers cup. we want to use it as a tune up for the preparation for the CAF Champions League coming up very soon.

“We intend to try out the new signing players that will also play in the CAF competition for us. As far i can remember the flying officers cup competition, it is one of its kind i must confess it is one big competition that exposed players both foreign and local once. so we do not intend to miss it but to key into it annually.

Meanwhile 16 teams including Ghanaian women Premier league Champion Hasaacas Ladies, also Nasarawa Amazon, Bayelsa Queens FC Robo Queens, hosting foundation Ladies Naija Ratel and Adamawa Queens will all be present.
