2022 FIFA U17 WWC: Nigeria’s Flamingos Arrive in Mumbai For USA Clash

In preparation for the quarter-final match against the United States, Nigeria’s Flamingos have arrived Mumbai in the earlier hours of Wednesday ahead of their India 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup quarter-final fixture against the United States on Friday.

Despite losing the opening group game against Germany, Flamingos bounced back strongly in the second match beating New Zealand 4-0 before winning the third match 2-1 against Chile.

The United States team defeated host India 8-0 and played 1-1 with Brazil before thrashing Morocco 4-0 in the final group match.

Flamingos arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday and the skipper Alvine Dah Zossu is already eyeing a good outing against the Americans.

” We arrived in Mumbai today ahead of our quarter-final match against the USA on Friday.

“As a team, we are focused and determined to go beyond this stage. Good things don’t come easily, we will continue to work hard till we achieve our goal”, she said.
