2022 World Cup: Jurgen Klinsmann picks player that deserves to win trophy in Qatar

Date:

Germany legend, Jurgen Klinsmann, wants Argentina captain Lionel Messi to take home the 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy from Qatar.

Klinsmann said that Messi deserves to win the World Cup this year more than any other football player.

According to him, the Paris Saint-Germain star should win the World Cup with Argentina just like the late Diego Maradona because of his immense talent and place in world football.

Klinsmann told La Nacion (via PSGTalk): “I think that everyone in football has a wish, and that is that Messi, with his incredible talent, with everything he has done in his career, with how tremendously well he represents football, wins the World Cup like Diego did.”

He added: “Messi deserves it more than anyone. Messi should take the World Cup from Qatar to his house.”

Argentina are in Group C in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and will face Saudi Arabia, Poland and Mexico.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will start in November, later this year.
